John Colan has been a member of the District of Columbia Bar since 2012, and has over a decade of client advocacy and negotiation experience in professional and collegiate athletics, as well as commercial real estate transactions. John has negotiated numerous multi-million dollar employment contracts and eight figure real estate transactions. Having graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2011, and working intimately with contracts ever since, he is capable of catering to clients’ interests and creatively working alongside them to draft client-protective contracts. In addition to this area of expertise, John also has extensive experience navigating his clients through difficult PR situations and employment crises.

Jaxen "Jax" Fan advises companies and business owners on high-stakes transactions, regulatory strategy, and complex commercial matters in the United States. His practice focuses on facilitating capital deployment, business expansion, and risk management in heavily regulated and cross-border environments.
Jax represents companies at all stages of growth—from early-stage ventures to publicly traded companies and global enterprises—in transactional and compliance matters. He counsels private and public companies on internal controls and strategic responses to federal and state agency inquiries and investigations involving securities law compliance, product safety, and other highly regulated industries. Jax also advises private investors and family offices on U.S. market entry, corporate formation, deal structuring, private placements, and public offerings, with particular emphasis on risk identification, due diligence, and the negotiation of investment terms.
In addition, Jax represents clients in complex commercial disputes, assisting businesses and investors in managing exposure and pursuing the recovery of significant financial losses through strategic dispute resolution.
Jaxen began his career advising ultra-high-net-worth investors on investment-based global mobility. He received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, his Securities Regulations and Finance Law LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, and a bachelor's degree in Politics from New York University. Outside of his legal practice, Jax plays soccer and pursues documentary and cinematic photography.
John Phillips, Esq.

John Phillips is an attorney whose practice focuses on civil litigation and immigration law. He represents individuals and businesses in a wide range of legal matters, drawing on experience gained across private practice, government service, nonprofit advocacy, and public-interest work.
John has represented both large corporate clients and individual plaintiffs in a variety of civil litigation matters. As a trial attorney, he has handled cases through all stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, settlement negotiations, and trial. His experience includes employment disputes, contract matters, regulatory issues, and other complex civil claims.
John also maintains an active immigration practice, representing clients before USCIS, EOIR, and other government agencies. He advises clients on a broad range of immigration matters, develops case strategy, prepares applications and supporting documentation, and drafts briefs and motions in support of the claims.
Prior to joining the firm, John served as an Attorney Advisor with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where he worked on administrative law matters involving federal healthcare programs. He also gained experience in private practice at firms including Foley & Lardner and The Cochran Firm, handling matters involving civil rights, medical malpractice, commercial disputes, and asylum law.
A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, John brings a diverse professional background spanning private practice, government service, and nonprofit advocacy. John is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and is fluent in Portuguese and conversational in Spanish.
